An Ayurvedic consultation is a comprehensive exam aimed at uncovering the cause of what ails you. Ayurvedic diagnosis is made through a combination of a complete and detailed history, a pulse, tongue, and physical exam that will help to reveal underlying factors in the disease process. Often a patient may complain of numerous symptoms. Instead of giving a remedy for each symptom, Dr. Douillard diagnoses and treats the fundamental imbalance that may be responsible for all of the symptoms. Therapies may include, but are not limited to: herbs, diet, exercise, lifestyle changes, and stress prevention.
At LifeSpa we offer Ayurvedic pulse diagnosis consultations. Dr. Douillard was trained in India in pulse diagnosis and has certified over 2000 Western physicians in Ayurvedic Pulse Reading. He has given over 40,000 pulse consultations. In-Person Consultations with Dr. Douillard:

Dr. Douillard has been teaching and practicing Ayurveda since 1987 and does 5-10 phone consultations per week in addition to his regular practice. He has given more than 60,000 Ayurvedic consultations and has gained the experience necessary to offer an accurate diagnosis and treatment via phone consultations. During the phone consultation, Dr. Douillard takes a full history,and a detailed interview with each patient and determines the underlying imbalance. He then prescribes a treatment protocol to bring the body back into its natural state of health.
