FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


How much commission do I make?
15% off the retail price of all the products on our website, including the Colorado Cleanse Group Event and the Anytime Colorado Cleanse.  (We do not offer commission on consults with Dr. Douillard or Panchakarma).


What is the Tier 2 commission?
It’s 3%.  When someone signs up through you to also be an affiliate, you’ll make 3% commission off of all their sales.  As this is not MLM, you don’t receive commissions on affiliates who sign up under your affiliates.


How do I get paid?
When you sign up, you can choose to receive checks via snail mail or PayPal payments.   (You can change your mind later).


When do I get paid?
You’ll get paid monthly.  If you make less than $25 in a given month, you’ll get paid when you earn $20 or more.


How is this different than having a wholesale account?
Great question! As a wholesale member you can make 40% commission on all products you resell, which is a significant difference.  However, you'll need to maintain your own inventory, manage expiration dates, and pay sales tax quarterly.   You'll also need to distribute the products to your clients, either by mailing it to them or selling it in-person.  Wholesale is available only on LifeSpa products (and Organic India) and requires a minimum purchase of $150.  >>> Apply for a wholesale account

The affiliate program does not require a minimum purchase, management of inventory, nor sales tax payments - and we distribute the product for you.  Easy.  Though the commission is 15% you do make it on all products purchased by a client - including the Colorado Cleanse - when they use your referral link.


What service do you use?
We use Performance-Based, which is a local company here in Boulder that provides excellent affiliate program management to conscious and caring businesses around the country.  They’ve been doing it for awhile and have polished their program so well that your experience as an affiliate will be smooth and breezy.


How long does my affiliate link last?
When someone uses your unique link, it plants a cookie in their browser which tracks all LifeSpa purchases to you.  Even if they come back months later to make another purchase, their browser remembers that they originally came to LifeSpa through you and you’ll get a commission off all subsequent orders.  Isn’t that great?

This cookie expires after 365 days, or until your client clears their cookies in their browser.  (Most folks clear their cache every 4-6 months.)  

Note:  all this is tracked in your client's browser, on whichever computer or device they click the link.  The affiliation is not tracked in our customer database.


Do I need a unique link for each of your products?
No, phew!  You’ll get one link that will be good for all of our products.  For instance, if you are encouraging your clients to sign up for our Colorado Cleanse or buy Ashwagandha, you’ll use the same link, always.


How do I track my commission earnings?
You’ll have 24/7 online access to your account on Performance-Based, so you can see how much commission you are earning.


What kind of marketing materials can you help me with?
When you log on to Performance-Based, you’ll be able to easily download one of our beautiful web banners.  These can be used on your website, blog or your email newsletters.  

We’ll also provide sample emails, Facebook posts and tweets so you can just copy and paste.

On a regular basis we’ll add new campaigns, such as web banners and marketing materials for our 100% natural Ayurvedic skin care line, or seasonal products so you can keep your marketing fresh.  We’ll keep you updated via email.


Can I earn commission off products that my clients purchase on the phone or in-person?
This affiliate program is only for purchases made online, on our website.  All the tracking is done through the cookie that is placed in your client’s browser (not within the programming of our customer database).


What if my clients have health questions?
Our website is a huge resource – please learn more by reading Dr. Douillard’s articles, Health Topics and product descriptions and watching his videos. 

Encourage your clients to do a phone consult with Dr. Douillard.  Many practitioners do a 3-way consult with Dr. Douillard – it’s a great way to stay connected with your client, support them in implementing his protocol, and also to learn a lot by observing him during a consultation.

You can email questions to Dr. Douillard at john @ lifespa.com.  He’ll do his best to answer questions, but as you can imagines, he is quite busy, and he usually needs to do a full client health intake to accurately make any suggestions. 


Do I get 15% commission on my own purchases?
No, sorry.  If you click on your own affiliate link to purchase products it is actually considered affiliate fraud and is grounds for being removed from the program.  If you are a regular LifeSpa customer, be sure not to click on your own affiliate link by mistake.  If you do, immediately clear your browser’s cookies before making LifeSpa purchases.  We’d hate to see you accidentally remove yourself from the program.


What limitations do you have on promoting your products?
Please respect our brand with gentle and kind advertising.  When you sign up to join our affiliate program with Performance-Based, be sure to carefully read their Performance-Based Affiliate Network Service Agreement on the application form.  We have the right to remove any affiliate that is inappropriately promoting our products.
